Artie is alive, and still on Sirius!

April 21, 2008

Phew!! That was a close call. Arguably, the best part of the “Howard Stern Show,” returned right on time at 6 a.m. on Monday. After a few chuckles into the the mic from Artie and Fred Norris, Howard revealed the return of the superstar. Artie appeared to have a more subdued tone on the show, going light on racial remarks, as well as proclaiming to NPH, that he would embrace a gay child with open arms. Most on the show felt this was an act, but when Artie leads, us here at Awesomo blindly follow.

Artie recapped his week away from the show, which oddly enough didn’t involve heroin, hookers, or death threats. After the outburst, Artie sought refuge with the only people that could console him. Dana The fine people at the Turning Stone Diner in Hoboken, NJ. Who gladly provided Artie with a mozzarella omelet, sausage, hash browns, rye toast with butter and jam, and 2 glasses of cold chocolate milk. Still feeling hungry sad before his long flight, Artie picked up a chocolate chunk cookie from Starbucks.

All in all, Artie was upset with his own actions, revealed his true large heart, and ability to man-up, by defending Howard when callers placed blame on the host of the show. Artie realizes that the show is the best thing for him because when he lands in new cities he feels like he has “20 thousand best friends. I feel like family,” quoted the superstar. Artie’s biggest fear is that things might end as dramatically as they did on MADtv. He knows he is at home on the Stern show, and us here at Awesomo will always be ready to treat the gumba like family. Has the Fat Man Sung?????

We here at awesomo are big fans of Artie Lang. Artie is not only a Jersey guy but he happens to be an everyman that makes a large amount of money and tells hilarious stories about his dabbling in drugs, booze, hookers, and gambling. He has been on Howard Stern since 2001 and in our humble opinion made the show the best listen on Sirius. Unfortunately, before the Stern vacation there was a major incident between Artie and his assistant. Listen here. He left the show saying ” Howard I love you but I quit”. Is it all over tomorrow or is Artie back with tales of debauchery from Amsterdam?

This just in, Artie is back, we are Stokked, and Amsterdam has sick pancakes.
